In Assassin's Creed Odyssey, tracking down valuable relics for the pirate queen Xenia is one of the most rewarding side quest chains available. The mission titled Birds of a Feather kicks off this series of treasure hunts by asking players to acquire the Golden Feather of Ajax. Navigating the maps provided by Xenia can be tricky, but knowing where to look makes this quest straightforward and fast.

Starting the Birds of a Feather Quest

To begin this quest line, players must travel to the pirate island of Keos and speak directly with Xenia. She presents a set of three different treasure maps, but only one leads to the actual location of the relic. Reading all three maps is optional, as players can head straight to the correct landmark on the map.

The quest requires players to travel toward the Isle of Salamis, which lies off the coast of Attika. On the southern tip of this island, you will discover the Lighthouse of the Father of Ajax. Reaching this location triggers a supporting objective that narrows down the search for the stolen feather.

Investigating the Lighthouse of Ajax

Upon arriving at the lighthouse, search the immediate area near the top of the stairs for clues. Inspecting a large cloth-covered jar near the structure reveals that the relic is no longer there. Speak to the nearby lighthouse keeper, who reveals that local bandits recently raided the site.

The lighthouse keeper directs you to the nearby Mycenaean Tomb of Ajax, located near the center of the island. Send out Ikaros to scout the tomb's entrance and tag the guard forces lurking outside. Planning your approach carefully makes short work of the enemies guarding the vault.

Securing the Relic and Returning to Xenia

Infiltrate the underground vault and eliminate the hostile bandits guarding the interior. Search the body of the bandit leader to claim the Golden Feather of Ajax for your inventory. Clearing out the tomb also provides valuable resources and chest loot for your character's progression.

With the golden relic in hand, fast-travel back to the pirate compound on Keos. Handing the artifact over to Xenia completes the quest and yields a solid drachmae reward. Finishing this initial assignment also unlocks the next stage of Xenia's lucrative treasure hunt series.
